Life Line is an event that we run three times per year and exists to help you choose a Life Group to be a part of. If you are unfamiliar with what a Life Group is, let me give you a very quick explanation.

A Life Group is a group (of about ten people) who meet regularly, usually every week or every other week. They meet specifically to try to get to know who God is. This happens in a number of different ways. These groups will learn and grow in faith by using a study curriculum or talking about the Sunday morning message – these are both great ways to help us look into the Bible for ourselves. These groups support each other through the unique things that life seems to throw at us when we least expect it. This happens in practical ways and through prayer. Community and friendship is formed and enjoyed. 

At a Life Line event, you will be introduced to a number of Life Group Leaders who are starting new groups. Our hope is that you would choose to try one of these groups and sign up with a particular leader before we are finished for the evening. All we ask is that you give it a 6-week commitment to see if the group is a fit for you. If it isn't, no sweat! We'll do our best to help you find a group that fits at the next Life Line event.

Anytime you are newer it can be awkward and challenging to take steps to get involved. It often feels as though we are the only ones that are new or disconnected from what is going on. That could potentially be the case at Life Line as well. Our hope is that this process will be the least uncomfortable of all the possible ways we could help people get connected to a group. When we come to life line we are all in the same situation, all people wanting to get connected, and there is comfort in that.

So Life Line offers all of us the chance to meet those that we may choose to be in a group with. It allows us to discuss with different leaders what they are going to be doing so that we find the group that is best for where we are at in our faith journey. And maybe best of all, it allows all of us to take the risk together and try to connect with others in our community. It definitely helps to know that we’re not the only one who is trying to find a place to connect and grow in my faith, and Life Line gives us that chance.

We will be having a Life Line event at all locations on Sunday, September 25th.  

At North End and Welland locations, Life Line will take place immediately following the service.  At Glenridge, the event is at 6:00pm.
